CPC Attorney: Jim Olmsted has been practicing law for 21 years and is nationally recognized for his work and scholarship in the field of conservation easements, land trusts and land preservation.

Education: University of Nevada at Reno, B.A. and M.A; University of California at Davis, J.D.

Internships & Clerkships: Federal District Court of Nevada (Internship); Nevada Supreme Court (Clerkship).

State Bar Admissions: California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington (application for New York is underway).

Local Bar Association: Chair of Environmental and Land Use Section and Chair of Computer Technology Section of the Lane County Bar Association.

Affiliations: Advisory Member of Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition (currently). Past affilliations: Board member Friends of the Evergreen Highway; the Heritage Trust of Clark County; the Friends of the Columbia Gorge; the Historic Preservation Advisory Commission of Truckee, California, and the Truckee Donner Land Trust. Of these organizations, Jim has served as vice-president of the Friends of the Evergreen Highway and as president of the Truckee Donner Land Trust.
